In general, scooters are very efficient when it comes to finding an easy-to-maintain ride from your home to a certain destination.
The truth is nobody wants to undergo daily commuting challenges. People are constantly looking for ways to beat the rush. Aside from the traditional scooters that started as a kid’s toy, manufacturers have experimented with scooters that are not necessarily fuel-based, but electricity-based.
Electric scooters have gained the trust of the public for quite some time now and have, without a doubt, proven itself worthy when it comes to having a hassle-travel experience. Most of the time, the issue with the usual commute is having to deal with other people going through the same thing. What’s worse is that you arrive at your destination late and tired.

If one of your problems involve the heavy morning traffic when going to work, there is a high chance that you may have thought of buying a bicycle or the traditional scooter. However, there’s one thing that bothers me about these alternative rides.
Both of these rides entail exerting effort for you to gain momentum. Well, by now you may have already directed your attention to electric scooters and is wondering whether it's truly worth it – it is!
Which is why I’ve taken the liberty of presenting you with five of the top-rated electric scooters on the market with the hope of this list helping lead you to the right one.
Let’s start by taking a look at the Currie eZip 500 for adults.
This electric scooter boasts a 500-Watt DC earth magnet motor with a top speed of 15 miles per hour and an 8-mile range for a single charge - nothing outstanding, but 15mph is nothing to scoff at either.
Build-wise, the eZip 500 is made of 12.5-inch alloy wheels with a bunch of Currie-exclusive "technologies" like the "five-spoke alloy wide mag wheel" and Street Slick Tires with Tuff-Tire Technology".
From the looks of it though, the wheels CAN take a beating. The eZip has a 240-pound capacity and geared towards teens and adults.
I only borrowed an eZip 500 to review, but according to most owners this electric scooter can last for a long time.
The Razor E200S Seated Electric Scooter is very powerful and efficient for someone who doesn’t like to sweat too much.
For young professionals who want to travel to work in the most eco-friendly and environmental-friendly way, this your best bet!
It boasts a high torque motor which is super quiet for that peaceful ride anywhere. It also features a handy twist grip throttle so it's not much different from riding a "real" motorcycle.
The maximum speed of the electric scooter is around 12 mph. For the security aspects of the scooter, it has a hand operated rear brake as well as a spring-loaded kickstand.
The tires are 8-inch pneumatic tires, and the seats are removable for when you don’t feel like sitting through the whole ride. Sadly, I wouldn’t quite agree that this is the best electric scooter with seat in the market because its quality isn’t as great as you’d want it.
Similar to the Razor E200S in the same series, the Razor E300S also boasts an impressing high torque motor that is extremely quiet.
It achieves that sense of calmness you need when traveling to work in the morning. The E300S is powered by a 24V Seal battery system, and its motor can reach speeds of up to 15 mph. The size of its deck is amazing, and it has a frame for riders of all sizes.
As compared to the Razor E200S, there’s not much difference.
When I was checking these two models, they almost have the same features regarding motor, hand operated rear brake, detachable seats, and spring-loaded kickstand. The only difference I can take note of is the E300S' 10-inch pneumatic tires as compared to the E200S' 8-inch.
When it comes to aesthetics, the Razor Eco Smart Electric Scooter truly got my attention.
This scooter is a battery-powered scooter with a bamboo deck which is perfect if you’re avoiding any vehicle that gives off emissions and truly want to ride something eco-friendly.
The 500 watt super torque motor is quite impressive as well as its 36 V electrical system.
The speed throttle control allows you to achieve various levels of speed. The padded seat, the adjustable rake, and the pneumatic tires are just some things I admire about this electric scooter.
Furthermore, it also features a detachable luggage rack for ease and comfortability when you are driving. No more exhausting rides because you have to balance yourself between carrying your bag or your books and steering the scooter.
After further research on the manufacturer of Super Turbo electric scooters, I have found out that the Super Turbo 1000 is a replacement for the Super Turbo 800.
The motor was upgraded and the sprockets, as well as the chain, were improved to much better heavy-duty versions.
Other than that, the rest of the features of the Super Turbo 1000 are just the same as the Super Turbo 800; weight limit of 250 lbs., 300 lbs. if with a hill kit accessory, a detachable seat, a small storage bag, an LED headlight, and the basic toolkit.
I find this very impressive, and it could honestly land a spot on the best electric scooter with seat competition (which it did).
When it comes to the range of the scooter, I am talking about the distance it can cover in relation to the battery’s capacity. Most electric scooters would have a 40-minute driving time as their range which is not typically bad. However, if you can find an electric scooter with much longer driving time, all the better.
You have to pay attention when it comes to the durability of the materials used for the construction of a tool, machine, or gear. This is a crucial factor that will determine the overall quality of your electric scooter. Now, not all expensive manufacturers promise their customers with 100% durability when it comes to their products. It is up to you to check and inspect the whole thing, and I mean being hands-on with the product itself.
At the end of the day, the title for the best electric scooter with seat goes to…the Razor E300 Seated Scooter! The Razor brand continues to dominate with its line of scooters - seated or not.
Most of the time, you find a lot of electric scooters in the market with similar features. Although the E300S doesn't stand out at all, my experience riding it produced a very different result - stability, and a feeling of safety. That's why it's the best on my list.
I can tell that everything was well constructed, the materials used for the construction were of high-quality and for the price of the electric scooter, and I can tell that this was indeed a good bargain. You will get your money’s worth with this one.
A close second is the Razor Eco Smart. I really like how they used bamboos for the deck.
Electric scooters are the best way to travel from place to place; it is both considered as economic and environmental. You don’t only save yourself the trouble of hailing a cab or sitting in traffic for how many hours, by making the switch to electric scooters, you are also committing to a change in habit that will greatly benefit the planet.
