Now follow the procedures outlined and explained below to actualize this job:
Fill the pot with water. This is because the candles which shall be used to make up the wax ought not to be directly heated. They may melt away completely if this happens. Place the pot on the oven and then set the right temperatures. Leave the water to boil to a temperature of around 100°C/212°F. Do not forget to cover the pot to minimize the wastage of heat.
Now proceed to melt the candles. Do this by placing the candles in a new pot or container. Place this extra container in the boiling water. Cover tightly and leave for some time. This will supply the low heat that is needed to slowly melt the candles into wax. You may have to re-heat the water from time to time to furnish extra heat for the sake of melting out all the wax completely.
Next, bring in the crayons. Choose crayons of the color or combination of colors you want your wax to bear. Though not a must, you may have to crush or break them into smaller pieces. Place them in the pot that bears the melting candles. Cover and leave them to heat for some time.
For better results, apply some Vaseline or any other kind of oil at this stage. Thereafter, use the cooking stick to stir the mixture to have the crayons and the candles mix completely. Cover again to let the heat melt out the mixture exhaustively.
After around five minutes, get the pot out and pour the mixture onto the molding tray. Be slow and careful at this stage in order to prevent spewing out the mixture on the floor. Just in case you may want to add certain decorations on the surface of the wax, this is the time to do it. Use a stick to engrave some aesthetics on the surface of the wax. Be careful also not to overdo it as this may interfere with the final quality of the wax.
Leave the mixture to try dry preferably overnight. This is to let it cool, dry and harden as tough as it can be. Avoid touching the mixture unnecessarily at this stage as this may also compromise the final quality of the wax as a whole.
As soon as you are satisfied with the results, retrieve the wax from the molds one at a time. Use a spoon, a knife or a fork to detach the wax from the molding tray. Proceed thereafter to package the molds in their plastic bags or other specialized containers. Store them in a cool and dry place.
Now that you know how to go ahead with the issue of making the wax, why don’t you proceed and do it yourself? As you can see, the procedure is pretty simple. You do not have to bring in an expert.
